Investigation Launched into Clashes outside Georgian Dream Office

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the clashes outside the central office of the Georgian Dream under Article 126 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving violence.

Members of the ‘Change’ and ‘It’s A Shame’ movements held a rally outside the Georgian Dream office yesterday. Later, representatives of the Georgian Dream youth organization gathered there, which led to clashes between the demonstrators.

The conflict began after the activists posted stickers on the wall of the party office, with the inscription ‘Slaves.’

Five activists of ‘It’s A Shame’ movement, including one minor, were injured during the clash, Giga Makarashvili, one of the leaders of the movement, told reporters, noting that the young activists of the Georgian Dream threw pyrotechnics at them.

Kakha Bukhradze, Deputy Chief of the Patrol Police Department, claimed that no one was detained by police during the clashes.
