Georgian pupil won Grand Prix for filming at Riga Summer Festival At the annual festival in Riga, Georgian pupil Giorgi Gagua won a Grand Prix. The duration of his piece of work only 10 minutes is. Among the representatives of 24 different countries Giorgi Gagua became the most successful. “We departed on August 3 for Riga and returned yesterday. All expenses except of the food, were covered by the local Culture Ministry. We were divided by 4-person groups and were distributed to several small islands. The jurors were made of 3 people. They were from the local Public Radio, Public TV and University.” “”Mangaļsala”, this is an island near to the Baltic sea, which is very beautiful and cruel at the same time. But nobody knows about this. This island has own historic mystery, and even locals were not aware about this secrecy.” Giorgi Gagua is a student of S. Rustaveli Theatre and cinematography institute. He got many other diplomas at this festival as well.
